Aggie Chi Omega

Beneficiaries

The money raised through Songfest is used to change the lives of individuals all over the world by donating to Chi Omega’s national and local philanthropies, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and Still Creek Girls Ranch as well as each of the participating organizations’ represented philanthropies. In 2012, Songfest was able to donate over $94,000 due to the hard work and support of the student body of Texas A&M University. Songfest is truly a testament to the amazing impact the Aggie Family can have on the lives of those in need when united for a common purpose.

Still Creek Ranch

Chi Omega is honored to support our local philanthropy, Still Creek Girls Ranch. Since 1988, Still Creek Ranch has provided housing and outreach services to children “who need a second chance in life.” Up to thirty children live in two cottages: Still Creek Boys Ranch and Still Creek Girls Ranch. They range in age from 8-18 and are given the opportunity to grow up in a Christ-centered, structured environment as well as attend private school on the grounds. Still Creek Ranch operates solely on donations. They receive no state, federal, government, or United Way funding. It requires $50,000 a month to operate the facilities, which includes food, clothing, and program operations.

Chi Omega is honored to support Still Creek Girls Ranch both financially and through volunteer time. We are excited to form friendships and share our hearts with kids in need. The mission of Still Creek Ranch is to teach kids how valuable they are and give them an opportunity for a better life. With love and dedication, they are trained to work hard and be responsible, so they may live life to the fullest.

Make-A-Wish Foundation®

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation’s mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® is Chi Omega’s national philanthropy.
